About Ekkarat Ruanglertsilp
Dr. Ekkarat Ruanglertsilp is a sociocultural linguist and a lecturer in the Department of English and Media Studies at Bentley University, where he teaches linguistics, and English composition. He holds a doctoral degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Arizona State University. His research engages with sociocultural linguistics, discourse analysis, World Englishes, translingualism, and language, gender, sexuality, and identity. His publications on critical discourse analysis, sexuality studies, celebrity culture, World Englishes, and phonetics have appeared in journals such as Journal for Cultural Research, Manusya: Journal of Humanities, and Linguistic Portfolios. He also has experience in teaching ESL/EFL in an Intensive English Program across six levels of language proficiency as well as in facilitating English language learners with their cultural and academic adjustment in the United States.
